How do I configure printing groups?

Setting up printing groups on the C9800 requires three steps: 1. Enable the printing groups function on the printer. 2. Create printing groups. 3. Configure each user's driver settings to send the correct printing group information.
Step 1: Enable printing groups function on the printer
Printing groups can be enabled from the
printer's operation panel by using the 'Server Setup' menu or by
using the web interface as shown below:

Step 2: Create printing groups
Within Command WorkStation it is possible to create groups of users permitted to print to the C9800 by using the following method:
Under the Server menu choose 'Printing Groups'


The following screen will appear:

Click 'Create' and enter the relevant details for the new group:

After selecting 'Add' and 'OK' the group will be created as shown below.

Repeat step 2 until all required printing groups have been created.
Note: At this point we recommend rebooting the printer to make sure that all changes have taken effect.
Step 3:Configure each user's driver settings to send the correct printing group information
The printing group information can be configured in the 'Owner information' section of the C9800 PS and PCL drivers. An example of a correctly configured C9800 PS driver is shown below:
