Can I use the latest V2 driver with the original version of the C7100/7300/7500 & C9300/C9500?

The latest printer driver for the C7000 & C9000 series states that it is for the V2 however this driver is compatible with the original versions of these products.
*Please note*
In previous driver revisions some paper size, paper tray and duplex
settings were blocked because the hardware could not support these
features. An example of a previously blocked feature is selecting
duplex when using the multipurpose tray. The V2 driver will not
block these settings as the operations are available on the new
version of this product. Please be aware that when using the
original C7000 or C9000 series these features are still unavailable
even although they can be selected in the driver.
