I am printing different file types to my printer but the printer gets stuck in one emulation even although auto emulation is selected. What can I do?

This problem can happen if the data being sent to the printer does not contain an end of job command explicitly. This can happen on some UNIX systems or even a Windows environment when sending data via FTP.
One work around is to add the following string (Universal Exit Language) to the network card:
\x1B%-12345X
This string can be added by telneting to the printers IP address and choosing option 6 "Setup Printer Port".
