The technology behind Anoto penPresenter
The Anoto technology adds a barely visible, unique dot pattern to the paper copy of your presentation when you print it on an OKI printer. This is what you write on. The pen, which looks and feels like a regular ballpoint, contains a tiny digital camera that takes 75 snapshots every second as you write with it. Every snapshot contains enough data to determine the exact position of the pen (and therefore what you have written or drawn) and the identity of the slide that you have written on. A control bar, which is added to the bottom of each page, lets you choose the ink colour and line size and gives you a selection of other handy tools for annotating and controlling your presentation. Each presentation can contain up to 200 PowerPoint slides, including blank slides that you can use as an alternative to a whiteboard. When you've finished, Anoto penPresenter gives you a digital copy of your finished presentation, complete with your handwritten notes.
